Have you ever felt the desire to help but wondered how you would find the time for others?
The public health department in the city has asked us to administer a medical building in one of the barrios where there is a great need for health care services. The clinic needs renovating and a great deal of repairs. This type of clinic is a true safety net for the neighboring communities suffering from severe health inequities and who have very few care options and sadly, at this time we don’t have the resources financial or professional to operate the facility. We are stepping forward with our biweekly clinics (operative medico) without a physical location. We use churches and schools and sometimes homes of those who live in the community. We are attempting to fill a huge void in the most medically undeserved area in the Province of Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. With a physical location we would be able to serve with less hardships to those who desperately need quality medical care. We need your support to make this a reality for those we serve.
