We believe that health care is a human right and that all people from all countries regardless of their status should have access to quality healthcare. We also believe that through education and an emphasis on good health we can alleviate the diseases of poverty. We hope that our efforts will lead to the empowerment of the underserved and impoverished who live in the barrios and bateys of Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.
Support of International House of Hope enables the struggling families of Puerto Plata – those who often must choose between food and medical care – to have access to basic health care services. In this manner they find and experience hope for a better tomorrow.
